Best A-Level Results in Four Years

Students at Ermysted’s Grammar School in Skipton are celebrating the best set of A-Level results for four years. Nearly one in five entries returned the top grade of A* and overall 71.3% of entries were graded at A* to B. The Headmaster, Mr Evans, congratulated the students and said that the grades were “just reward” for their efforts over the year. This was a particularly strong cohort with ten boys securing at least three A*s and five securing four; eleven students gained admission to Oxford or Cambridge; and fifteen students won places at top medical schools. Across the year group, the students are off to pursue an eclectic range of subjects, with strong representation from the arts as well as the sciences. Mr Evans commented that “whatever the destination of our students, we are very proud of them all and wish them every success in the next phase of their education or employment.”
