On Sunday, 8 January the Old Boys took on the Ermysted’s First XI in what we hope will become an annual fixture (probably around ‘Founders Day’). The game took place at Sandylands on the Astroturf. Both teams played some pretty good football and it was great to see such a mix of players and ages turning out for the Old Boys.

The game started well with both sides out to win and competing strongly. Play was end to end with both teams creating chances. The crowd was royally entertained and the half finished with the score at 2-0.

The second half brought more of the same with the game resulting in a 4-3 victory for Ermysted’s First XI. This was a great game, a superb advert for football and the school, played in a tremendous spirit and hopefully the first of many such games.
